Hello from sunny Sardinia!
After an ever-so-slightly terrifying bout of turbulence during the flight over and a much needed pre-holibobs Aparol Spritz, here I am!
Chillin on the beach and chowing down on plenty of pasta with the fam <3
It wouldn't be a holiday without a bit of soul deep card slinging, no?
Whether you're also off on adventures abroad or at home this summer, or in need of an inner vacay of sorts, enjoy exploring the prompts below.
And because I love an example or two, here are the cards I pulled when test driving this baby post-siesta after a restful day at the beach.
Happy hols, sweet friends!
1) Siesta - What am I welcoming a break from? Four of Pentacles
The regular routine of my usual work week. Heck yeah! I've felt so drawn towards putting my phone down and switching off in order to switch back on, soulfully speaking.
Gone are all thoughts of Soul Sessions and business stuff (as much as I love it, obvs!) Sometimes we need to take a big step back in order to recharge.
2) Ice Cream - How can I treat myself this vacay? The Hanged Man
Here we go - another sign to unplug and take myself away from whatever it is I'd usually be doing back home.
I'm treating myself by reading juicy books and magazines, trying all sorts of delicious food and wine, and hanging out with Chris and his rellies.
3) Sight Seeing - What would I like to explore? The Magician
I'm sensing that The Magician is encouraging me to be assertive when it comes to suggesting things for us to do, rather than feeling as if I need to step back and wait for everyone else to decide what's happening.
There's so much to see and experience here! I'd love to learn a bit more about the history of Sardinia, and I'd also like to find a lovely restaurant for a romantic dinner date...
4) Sun cream - How am I called to look after myself? Seven of Wands
*Gulp* I guess obsessing over events and plans isn't the way to go?!
Instead of feeling threatened or as if I'm going into battle when facing something new (I don't really tend to do so well with change...) I'm called to go with the flow a little more, reminding myself that trying new things can actually be fun!
Mid-freakout I'm going to remind myself that I'm more than capable of navigating new places and faces.
It's aaalll good.
5) Ocean - What am I ready to wash away? Justice
Ooh, this one caught me by surprise. Justice. Rigidity - that's what popped into my mind while holding this card.
Rigidity when it comes to things like timelines I've imagined for myself and rigidity when it comes to judging my actions and achievements so far.
Stop living so much in your head, girl! - A message from my Higher Self to me. Lols.
Embrace heart energy and love your way through the next few weeks.
6) Seashells & Rocks - How can I ground into my soul centre? Ace of Cups
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!
Time spent splashing in the ocean is time spent healing and reconnecting to self.
I'm finding witnessing the soft flow of saltwater to be incredibly therapeutic; soft flow of water, soft flow of emotions.
7) Holiday Snaps - What am I called to cherish? Six of Pentacles
Being looked after aboard the great ship, aka Chris's Zia and Zio's house.
Everything is so adundant!
Lemons, grapes, olives and lavender grow in the garden, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee floods the house every morning.
Pasta, Sardinian wine, cheese (so much cheese!), Italian hams. Mmm.
Sailing along together is so wonderful. It feels good to have quality family time <3
8) Souvenir - What gifts am I going to bring home with me? Eight of Swords
An awareness of new pathways and solutions that couldn't possibly reach me when in the thick of things back home.
Isnt it funny how taking a break often leads to the juiciest breakthroughs?
I'm stepping away from my laptop, closing my diary and embracing life as it unfolds moment by moment here on holiday (aside from the occasional blog post or two, 'cos, well, girl loves to write!)
Trusting that any as-yet unanswered questions are unfolding exactly as they need to behind the scenes.
My Guides and sweet Higher Self are totally holding down the fort while I take five!
With love, gratitude and so much joy, sweet friends - and happy holidays!
